How to Place a Bid
1. Select an Item
Click on the auction listing to view more details.
Check the current bid amount and auction end time.
2. Place Your Bid or Max Bid (Optional)
Regular Bid
If you’re interested, enter your bid amount (higher than the current bid).
Max Bid (Optional)
The maximum amount you’re willing to pay for a bird.
Everyone submits their bid privately. This means you won’t know what anyone else is offering for the bird.
3. Bid Increments
Bids must be placed in increments of $20 or you can bid any amount you like greater than $20, just type the amount.
Confirm your bid and click the “Place Bid / Max Bid” button.
The same Button is used to place your Max Bid, The system will automatically place incremental bids on your behalf to maintain your winning position up to your maximum bid amount.
This allows you to stay competitive without constantly monitoring the auction.
Examples:
a. If a bird has a bid of $300 and you place a bid for $500, the next visible bid will be $320.
b. If a bird has a bid of $300 with a Max Bid of $400, a new bidder puts in a bid for $500, the next visible bid will be $420.
4. Raising Max Bids
If you are the highest bidder and have the Max Bid set, you can raise your Max Bid even more if you like. To be safe, always put in your maximum bid, especially if we are ending the Auction Live.
5. Anti-Sniping Feature
If a bid is placed on a bird during the final 2 minutes of the auction, the item will be extended 5 minutes. This will continue until no bid is placed in the final 2 minutes of closing the item.
6. Auction Process
Online Bidding Phase:
– The auction opens online for a set period.
– Bidders place their bids, with the highest online bid becoming the starting bid for the live auction.
– Bidders can also set Max Bids, meaning the system auto-bids up to the bidder’s maximum limit.
Live Auction Phase:
– At the Final Race Event, the current online bids are carried over to a live auction.
– Bidding resumes at the highest online bid, and live bidders can compete in real time.
– Those who participated online may keep bidding online or live if they are present at the Final Race Event.
– The auctioneer calls the bids, and the item is sold to the highest final bidder in the live session.
– The auction will be closed at the Final Race Event.
Once your bid is placed on the auction website, it cannot be canceled, as your bid is binding.
